Goodbye Tapatalk!

Caloy

Android Expert
Ever since this Forum disallowed Tapatalk, I was bummbed because I love surfing the forums while I'm on the go, but since I've updated to Froyo, I could actually post using the phone's regular browser! I could even see my avatar blinking... LOL

I love Froyo, installed Chrome to Phone and having a blast experimenting with it. The only thing I cannot figure out is how I can send a phone number to my phone.

God bless froyo!!!:D

Why did they disallow tapatalk? I love that app, I never even thought about it, I just post on other Android forums when I'm on the go because this one wasn't on the list.

I've never used tapatalk and have always posted here with the stock browser... I don't notice any difference now really...

I could've sworn I was able to read but not post in AF when I first got my Evo. That's the primary reason I spent money buying Tapatalk. Only noticed that I can post using the stock browser when I tried doing it after the Froyo update.

tapatalk is great... I dont want 10 different applications for 10 different forums (such as xda, androidforums, etc)

LOL, then it's a waste of money then. I only bought it so I can log in to Android Forums. Oh well. :)

You said you installed Chrome to Phone,.....is that an app? I just searched appbrain and I didn't see it. I'd like to learn more about Chrome to Phone. Thanks.

Assuming you have Froyo (Android 2.2) it's a two step process.

1. Install the application on your phone which can be found here: chrometophone - Project Hosting on Google Code
2. Launch the application to register and setup your phone.
3. Install the browser extension. As far as I know, it only works on Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/161941/) and Chrome (chrometophone-extension-v1.1.crx) for now.
