I had to deactivate the google account (due to a privacy issue) that I was using on my laptop and it was the one I was using on the phone also. Now that i've deactivated it, I am no longer able to use the android apps, or change things within the phone because on not being able to log into that account. The login page comes up with the old account asking me for my password, but of course, like I said, it is no longer in use, and it doesnt let me change the user name as i've made another google account. I have tried to change things in the settings, but all i've done it seems is to have screwed it up more!! HELP!!

Best thing you can do, since you have already lost your account is go into recovery mode ( with phone off, hold down the volume down key and the power button ). Once there do a System wipe. It will reset your phone to factory settings letting you activate your new google account.

REMEMBER: THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON YOUR PHONE! MAKE SURE IF YOU DO A BACKUP OF ANYTHING IMPORTANT BEFORE HAND.

GOOD LUCK!
