Google Market doesn't save the dowloaded apps.... it only saves them temporarily and then install it before removing it. However, if you want to have a backup of your apps you can try My backup pro, Titanium backup, Gemini app manager, app control, app monster or similar apps that will save a installable file on your sdcard which you can install later.
