Help Google Voice vs VVM

I was wondering if anyone switched back and forth between Google Voice and Sprint VVM? If so what is the process to do so? After you create a Google voice account can it be totally close and deleted to go back to VVM? If so what were the steps you took to do so?

with google voice you will need to login first then go to the voice settings (the gear looking icon at the top right) and select the phone tab. there should be the link to deactivate you google voicemail. it should be right next to your number.
