I understood that the "Settings->About Phone->Software Update->Software Update Check" on my Optimus 2x would, if an update was available, enable me to update the operating system but it tells me that my system (2.2) is up to date. LG Support tells me:
"The reason the handset is not able to be updated over-the-air is due to the update being an operating system update to Android. Because of this the handset will need to reboot several times throughout the update, which would disconnect the handset from the internet connection. We do apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, but the update will require the handset to be plugged in to our updater tool."
Has anyone done this update to 2.3 over the air?
