i recently installed clockworkmod on my phone(samsung galaxy ace) but it has been pain since. every time i reboot my phone it frezes on the page where it displays your phon moel and name and it wont go past there

That is because you either flashed a corrupt/incompatible version of CWM or you made some mistake in flashing the recovery.
Flash stock firmware via Odin or you can try to flash the recovery via Odin and see if it clears up the problem. Flashing the whole firmware will erase all your user data, so try only recovery first.
You cannot just delete it, you can only replace it with a working version.
The ways of replacing depends on the version of your ace, is it S5830 or S5830i or any other variant.
To get the phone back to factory resetting completely, as it was out of the box you can flash stock firmware via Odin.
As for your sd card, i don't know, maybe its corrupted or something, try formatting the card.
