HI EVERYBODY,
i just received my new Samsung i9000 Galaxy S that i finally purchased after months that i wanted it... despite my expectations, this phone has still Android 2.1 Eclair.
Before i started using this phone, i wanted to Upgrade to Froyo, so i installed the CD's that i was given with the Phone, which are the installation for this program called: "KIES" (version 1.5.3)
I attached the Phone and Kies immediately Recognized it, so i clicked on Firmware UpGrade but after a few seconds it gives me a message stating:
"THIS DEVICE CAN NOT BE UPGRADED"
And it doesn't allow me to do anything.
Does anyone know some kind of different procedure to install the Firmware without having to Root the device?
Thank you for any info
