Lurker
hey everyone , i hope someone will have some advice for me
I rooted by galaxy s2 a long time ago when I was back on Gingerbread/ICS
Accidentaly I updated using KIES to the newest update and I noticed root had disappeared and my network unlock which i had done also went.
Now i have a three carrier locked phone and my phone reports im on android version 4.1.2
I want just to root the phone so i can make it network free again.
I did try root on a previous update but it kept saying something approximately on the lines of the build package was broken ( super user app) and couldnt be repaired. Hence why i updated to jelly bean or whatever im on now.
I would have downloaded an insecure kernel and just rooted but I dint know which kernel i need is it XXSL8 or XWSL8
Android version: 4.1.2
Baseband version: I9100XXLS8
Kernel version: 3.0.31-816988dpi@DELL166 #3
Build number: JZO54K.I9100XWLS8
Thank you so much,
