Help Help regarding updating my apps through the internet on my laptop.

Hi I am using LG Optimus 2X and want to update my phone apps.The problem is I have an Internet connection on my laptop but no wifi hotspot is available here...Can someone tell me how can I update my phone apps with my lappy...if setting an adhoc is a solution ,please tell me as how can I create one.thanks
