Root HELP!!! Samsung captivate i896 stuck on bootloop

I have Rogers i896. The phone now stuck on bootloop because I flashed it with a wrong kernel. I tried using odin, but when I plugged the phone in on its download mode, my computer doesn't recognize the phone, even though it recognize the phone before under its normal running mode. And of course because my computer doesn't recognize the phone, odin doesn't either.


Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
 
Do you have Samsung Kies running/installed? Sometimes that program can interfere with with the drivers necessary to use odin mode. I recomend uninstalling it if you do and then reinstall the samsung usb drivers provided on their website.
