Help Help!!!! samsung galaxy nexus wifi problem

my samsung galaxy nexus wifi wont turn on ... i turin it on and the switch turns on but gray and when i open wifi i just says "wifi turning on" i have 4.2 stock rom. please help
 
I assume this is with a wifi you have always used and nothing has changed with the wireless network (i.e. password).

Have you rebooted your phone recently. I would leave it off for a good minute then power it back on and just let it sit for a few minutes and hope it does the trick.
 
"Forget" that wifi connection. If it gets corrupted it'll never connect. Then try connecting again.

It's also possible that the wifi radio went bad or the wifi radio software is corrupted. Too many possibilities to give you a definite answer.
 
i went to a mobile servis and they change the wifi on the device .. it worked util i turned it off, later that day when i reboot it i fixed but it also lasted till i turned wifi of... i tryed rebooting 10x but nothing. i thing it is a software issue. write down your suggestions and i will try them out... i cant turn on wifi

Making wild guesses would wase your time and mine. Someone has to actually have the phone and check things out to see what's working, what's not working and what's working but not the way it's supposed to be working. See if someone at that mobile service actually knows enough to fix things (not just change parts) and is willing to spend the time to find out what's wrong with the phone.
 
You might just want to try resetting the device. It might really be the only way to fix this issue, because it sounds like it's more something that went wrong when you updated to JB software wise.

Remember though, that this deletes everything and you want to make backups.

If your rooted I would try a new ROM, if you aren't rooted, maybe try and root haha.

It seems that this would definitely be able to solve your issue.

If anything get fastboot on your device and flash some stock .img files.
