I just purchased a Samsung Captivate and when trying to hook up to my Pc I get an error that the driver is not compatible are is damaged and will not recognize the phone. I also need to know where I can get software to sync my phone with my Pc. Thanks in advance Poppasmurf

sounds like you need to return the phone and get an exchange..i never had to install any software to plug in my samsung vibrant

I don't know about sync software other than what Google already does. As far as your PC not recognizing the phone, what operating system does it have? It could very well be all you need to do is install the correct driver.

Maybe you could donload the sync app from the samsung official site, and have a try again, and if it still doesn't work, maybe you have to exchange it.
