My phone has been freezing a lot, what's the latest android software for this phone, how do I update it?

The latest I think now is 2.3 gingerbread I'm not to sure If its been released yet.

If you have froyo then 2.2.2 is what you need. Download lgs update tool on computer and follow the steps.

I gave up on LG so I went with cyangenmod, I suggest to do the same
