Hero vs Legend

Hi all I have been very satisfied with my HTC Hero and I am still proud of the way it performs and I prefer it to the wifes Iphone 3gs! I have been watching the forum for the past few weeks to see what is being said about the shiny new Legend to see wether the time had come to let the Hero go! However so far the picture is less than clear. I am wondering how great the uptake of the Legend is going to be by Hero owners. Do the updated spec's merit the extra outlay? Does the Desire represent better value? Have HTC let themselves down in any way ?

I would say the Desire would be better value for your hard earned cash.
The Legend is a stunning looking phone but there is not a great difference processor wise to make me want to change from my Hero.

I just bought a legend tonight after playing with both phones in the shop. maybe it is the upgraded firmware but the phone is a lot more responsive than the hero.
