Hello there from a happy T-Mobile G1 user from Santa Monica...
I've been thinking much between getting iPhone (and moving to AT&T) or getting the G1, and the keyboard convinced me.
I was a proud HTC Universal user, but unfortunately I was not able to use it's 3G capabilities for over 2 years (waiting, and waiting, and finally they've chose totally different frequences). So I'm no longer using the device, and I'm on the G1 dream diet for almost a week.
So far my experience is that it feels a little bit sluggish, but there are things that I like better than the iPhone. (I'm also an iPod Touch owner).
For the iPhone, I've did a simple terrain rendering application, but it never got approved (after 2 weeks waiting period). Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to get it up to speed on the G1, unless something raw like C/C++ is allowed.
So that's from me...
