How Do I Delete SMS Contacts

I've got a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 and have a lot of SMS Contacts stored that I no longer need. However, I cannot find how to delete them. Can anyone help please?

Try looking in your phonebook.

Doesn't work as far as I can see.

There is no "phone book"

Contacts then. Or open the phone app and navigate to the list of contacts from there.

There is one contacts database for phone and SMS is the point, no separate SMS contacts.

dont forget that the contacts you have in a sincronized account can
be restored automaticaly
