how do i return to kit kat

[Android Question]

Have a Nexus 7 (2012) and accepted the android 5 update last night. Can't keep too many apps open now or the tablet freezes, keeps losing wifi and takes an eternity to complete the simplest tasks. Chrome is pathetic and keeps freezing. I want kit kat back please. Can someone tell me how to get it back? If I can't return then the tablet is heading for the garbage as it is of no use whatsoever...thanks Google!

Have you tried doing a factory reset? That will probably fix the freezing and wifi issues. I bet from there you can find a browser you like go from there.

They pushed 5.0 over to my Nexus 5 and I HATE it. I am currently researching how to downgrade it back to where it was.

Try a factory reset as mentioned above. If that doesn't work, you can flash the 4.4.4 factory image by following this guide: http://androidforums.com/threads/guide-how-to-flash-a-nexus-factory-image-manually.706533/

I really think you should give factory reset a try. Yes it's a pain, but you'll have to restore settings etc. anyway if you revert, so you have nothing to lose (and perhaps much to gain). Here's my account of upgrading my Nexus 7:
