How freaking cool is swipe / swype??

So having used BlackBerry and iphone for the past 12 years, when I first got the note 2 I naturally stayed to type away like usual. Then one day I accidently started to swipe. Wow! I had no idea it was this good!!! Still getting used to it but man, pretty impressed so far.

Curious, do most people use this feature?

It really depends on the user, i know i installed the Beta on my Galaxy Nexus, because i love swyping to text, there is an app on the Play Store that is similar but Swype's predictive texting with sliding is so much better...

I love it and will always use it!

When I was testing out the Razr Maxx HD I enjoyed using Swiftkey 3 keyboard.

It isn't a Swype type of keyboard. You type normally but the cool thing is it will guess words you want to type next so a big part of the time you just have to click the next word and don't have to type it out. It is awesome.

Back when I had android and was using the original Droid and the HTC Incredible, Swype was nice and I thought it was an amazing advancement in on screen keyboards, but the novelty quickly wore off and I found that I preferred just typing things out instead of swiping.

If I get the Note 2 I will definitely be installing Swiftkey 3 on it.

hmm- on my Note 2, the default "samsung keyboard" does exactly what you describe:

Never tried swipe, I assume my "samsung keyboard" on my AT&T Note 2 supports it. nor how to change it.

Time to read the manual

Don't know whether this "continuous input" is Sammy's own or a Swype derivative, but it's the only input method I use.

Go into the app manager and scroll through the "All Apps" column. Guess what's hiding in there? (I'll give everyone a hint. Go ahead and just scroll on down to where the S's start. There's A LOT of stuff that shows up in the all list otherwise.) ;)

As for actually using that input method, I forget that it is there most of the time. I tend to use voice to text most of the time unless I'm in a situation where it might look a little odd.

I side loaded the apk for the android 4.2 keyboard and adjusted the settings to get it to work with the s pen. Now I have a keyboard with the floating word which is really cool and it also accepts handwritten input from the stylus!
