Hi there

Watched a few youtube videos on how to connect to TV and mouse and keyboard etc but mine doesn't work!

I bought MHL cable from amazon Samsung Galaxy S3 & Note II MHL HDMI 1080p HDTV: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
(came supplied with power lead)
HDMI cable I used the one connected to the X Box
Mouse Im using a dell optical mouse (red light at the bottom)

Well I connected the MHL cable to the phone ... at the side of the MHL cable there is a connection for power ... i connected it using the supplied power lead and the plug from my charger. Also connected the HMDI cable to the mhl cable ...

The phone is powered as I can see its charging with the charging icon ... HDMI works as I use it for my xbox but for some reason I don't get no image on the TV.

Do you need to have a special tv to use this feature? Mines A LG Flatron M227WDP (LG M227WDP Monitors - 22" TV Monitor - LG Electronics UK)

Also using a Micro USB OTG Cable (Micro USB Host OTG Cable - Micro USB B/Male to USB2.0 A: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics) I tried connecting my mouse to the phone but it doesnt work.

I have a bluetooth keyboard not tried that yet.

Any tips? Or anything I can do? is there like a setting or something?

I'm confused with the mouse. Is it a wired mouse, wireless RF or bluetooth? If it's wired or wireless RF, you cannot use it when using the MHL adapter. If it's using a dongle, the chances are that the power draw on the device is great and the Note 2 will refuse to connect to it without an external power supply.

If both mouse and keyboard are bluetooth, did you pair them correctly? I don't know the limitations of bluetooth and how stringent regulating power draw/drain Samsung has placed on it. It could be that you may only connect one device to it without drawing too much power from the device.

Did you try to reboot the device the device and start fresh? Sometimes drivers crash and need a restart to fix.

Its A Wired Mouse ... connects using usb ... I got one of those OTG cables and thought it would work ... that cable on one side has the connection for the phone and the other side it has a place to slot in a usb cable ... i simple put the mouse usb into it ....

... main thing id love to try is the tv ... not sure why its not working? do you need a samsung tv?

Edit: I should learn to read properly! I'm an idiot...

Regarding USB OTG, you should be able to connect and use the mouse without any issues. I have a wired mouse and keyboard and work fine with a USB hub.

MHL adapter. Make sure you got the proper one. It requires a 11-pin and not a 5-pin found with older MHL adapters. There is an adapter to convert the 5-pin to a 11-pin connector if you don't have the proper MHL adpater.
