How to convert videos for th Evo without Handbrake?

Hello All,

I was trying to go ahead and convert videos for my Evo so I installed Handbrake and was about to test settings but everytime I click start the command prompt comes up and it crashes.

From what I read this seems to be a problem with Windows 7 (x64), which I am running, so my question is are there any alternatives to Handbrake?
 
There is no problem with Handbrake and Windows 7 x64. Something else is wrong. (why do people always blame things on the OS?) I've been using Handbrake and 64bit Windows 7 since the 6xxx builds of Windows 7 where leaked.

Do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the latest build.
 
I've used it with 7 as well. I just ran into a problem with one movie and am testing now.

I used MediaCoder iPod Edition for quite awhile. Very easy to use and great quality, better than I could get with HandBrake at the time.

I google'd the problem and that is what I read. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I still get a crash once I try to convert a movie.
