have rented a Verizon htc global phone and need to remove back cover to add a micro sd card and cant figure out how to get the back off of the phone?

There's more than one HTC Global phone, so the answer depends on which one you have.
If it's a HTC One or a Droid DNA, you cannot remove the back and there is no SD card slot (even though the Butterfly, which the DNA is based on, does have one. I've heard that that was Verizon's choice).
