Help HTC boot animation on Cellular South Desire

I have an HTC desire through Cellular south. I found the files for the boot animation like on the HTC hero. Where it spells out HTC Quietly Brilliant. I was just wondering if i could have it where it would do the animation when my phone booted up. I believe my carrier disabled it so they could put thier little logo animation. I'm pretty sure thats all locked by cellular south but i thought i'd just ask.

A branded phone is unbranded with unbranded ROM, will it not replace custom start up animation?
