HTC Desire 620 Battery Drain

This HTC Desire 620 battery drains like nobody's business...
At 100% charge and mind you AIRPLANE mode.. it took 60 seconds to drop to 99% ... WTH !!!!

Can't regret my bad uninformed choice for I already spent my hard earned money to buy it..

Anyone out there can offer any solutions to this problem...
suspect background processes
1) 4G to 3G throttling and
2) Forced and useless Blinkfeed
3) Senseless ROM

3G and 4G throttling are controled by your network provider and has nothing to do with handset itself. Blinkfeed can be disabled: http://www.htc.com/sea/support/htc-desire-620-dual-sim/howto/581874.html

I get 5 hours sot on this phone , have you tried a factory reset

bring it back and exchange it should be covered by a warranty
