Help htc dream causes imac to hang on reboot

whenever i have my rogers htc dream connected via usb and reboot, it always hangs on the white screen before the apple appears.

anyone else have this issue? it gets stuck on the white screen and I have to power off/on and leave the phone unplugged for it to boot properly. 24" imac purchased last april.

Same thing here with a 20" iMac. Maybe it tries to boot from the external USB drive or something, I don't know *shrug*. But, in my case the boot continues normally when I just unplug the G1 from the USB cable (without power off/on on the Mac).
