I've been on my Fascinate for about 2 months and had it rooted but went back to stock to get the GB update.
Is there a terminology guide for going from an HTC device to a Samsung. In general they seem a lot different as far as the internals go.
It looks like the Samsung has to deal with different file systems and partitions, two kinds of CWM recovery, different types of kernels that can't be mixed etc. So that's sort of preventing me from putting CWM on and trying different roms now.
Despite two years with an HTC phone, moving to a Samsung makes me feel like I started all over again.
I went through the some of the FAQ but it didn't seem to address as much of this as I had hoped.
