I just got 4.4.4 update on my Nexus 7!

The update is 18.6 MB. So far no perceivable difference what so ever. It's nice that the original nexus 7 is still getting security and bug fixes updates. Now the wait for Android L begins.

I got it on my 2013 version last week. No appreciable change. I think it fixed the encryption bug that the was revealed a few weeks ago and some other bugs that need attention prior to the Android "L" release.

Got it yesterday. Cant see any difference yet but then I have not really explored. I had a heart in the mouth moment when I tapped 'Update' as I had forgotten to enable all the apps I had disabled. (Which is what I usually do when I update) It went thru smoothly but like I said not explored it much.

My N7 2012 has just updated onto 4.4.4 It errored the first time I tried it and kept saying no updates for a few days and displayed 4.4.3 under software but started the update again the other day and installed with out a problem. Can't see anything visual though.

Hopefully our device will be updated to L once it's released, just worried about the age of our device and who gets L.

I am pretty certain though that Google wouldn't pull a fast one on us considering we have a pure AOSP Google device.

I dont expect it.

The device will be way over 2 years old on release - and I already notice the lag on 4.4.4. With huge visual changes in L, who knows if our hardware can handle it.

If it comes, I'll be pleasantly surprised. If not, no big deal as I didn't expect it to begin with ;)

If anything we will get a ROM port, which will satisfy me enough :)

I saw a list somewhere that had the 2012 N7 listed as the oldest Nexus slated for the update.
