Help I love my phone but i have issues, can you help

I have a samsung s3, I am from Ireland and on the vodafone network. My s3 is 4.3. and for the last few months i have been getting "Device Driver Error: MTP USB Device won't install"

I have seen this all over the net and im exhausted as i have trawlled everywhere and no answer is to be found.

Has anyone discovered why this is an issue and if so how to fix it?

The MTP simply will not install.

I have disabled my AVG, I have uninstalled and updated whenever needed uninstalling and updating. and NOTHING HELPS!!!!!

sometimes the phone tells me i need to install Kies and it may help. It didn't before but right now im installing it again.

Can you help??

Update: Its still not working with Kies. see pics. HELP!!!!!!

I can't fix the error as it seems to be a problem since Samsung adopted MTP/PTP over the traditional USB transfer protocol.

There is a work around that will allow you to transfer files to and from your PC though:

AirDroid | Your Android, on the Web.

Airdroid is a great little app.

I seemed to have somehow fixed the issue but im still getting "this usb can perform faster if you connect it to a hi-speed usb 2.0" what's that about? and why would Samsung do that? you would think they were in enough trouble with the 119 billion they have to repay apple

Not a Samsung issue, it's all about your computer and how you have it set up. Try plugging your phone's cable directly into one of your computer's USB ports -- if you have a keyboard with a USB port don't forget that particular port is a low power, minimal data one. If you're using a non-powered USB hub that could also be an issue. If you have a lot of devices feeding off a non-powered USB hub it can only provide enough power that the USB port it's plugged into can provide. (A good powered USB hub doesn't cost much more than a non-powered one and it can eliminate a lot of 'mystery' problems that pop up when you're plugging in/removing things, transferring files, etc.)
Also, older and cheaper USB 1.1 cables simply don't have the capability to transfer data at 2.0 speeds. Those cheaper cables often are a noticeably thinner gauge but in any case try swapping a different USB cable.
