Help I must have shut my flash off..........

I don't know how I did it but I do remember an option window that i must have indicated something permanent or that I was changing something when I was taking my first pictures, probably because the camera was using the flash too often. But it came and went so fast, I hardly knew what I was signing on for or signing out of.

Lately I've noticed I haven't seen the flash at all. I must have shut it off permanently. I'd like to be able to use it when I want to. In fact, I'd like to be able to play around in the camera settings which I can't seem to find. They're not under settings - that I've found anyway. I'm sure they're here but I'll be damned if I can find them.

you're not going to believe this, but the three little settings dots aren't there. I've tried using the avatar on the desktop and I've tried going on through the app in the applications folder. I must have done something deep cause my settings are not here.

If I go into the gallery, I can edit the images, but there's no settings in the camera app that I can find.

Thank you, yes. We just returned from costco and while there I stopped by the vzn kiosk and showed them my screen and the kid there immediately saw where I was and tapped the little button and viola!

So you are correct, it is that little timer thingy next to the zoom slider. Why the engineers did that, created one settings icon entirely different from standard three vertical dots is beyond me, but they did.

I called Samsung while we were driving up, figuring they'd know right away. They ended up opening up a tech ticket for me to call back on later because both techs I spoke with were asking me about the three vertical dots...don't I see them? What do I see?

Now I have to call the Samsung "second tier" techs to tell them about the little mini kitchen timer icon.

I never understood why Google chose to make the settings button in the camera look like a power button.

I think it's supposed to be little red riding hood being eaten by the big bad wolf. The little circle in the middle is her face, the pointy thing is the tip of her hood, and the big circle is the wolf's mouth with the notches at the top being his teeth ;P
