Help I replaced the screen on the Nexus 7 but it won't display anything.

I accidently broke the screen on my Mums Nexus 7 2012 a while ago. I finally got around to replacing the screen. I followed the ifixit.org guide on how to take it apart and put it back together.

When I plug it in it registers that it is on and working but it doesn't display anything.

I took it apart again and made sure all the connectors were in properly and not sure what else I can do apart from send the screen back for a replacement.

Well, first off Welcome to the forums :)

I would suggest to just get a new replacement screen, sounds like you did everything right.

Just be careful of static electricity. Work on a hard surface next time, not carpet, and be sure to discharge any static electricity by touching metal :)

Thanks for the welcome. :)

The new screen is still in the Amazon return period so I guess I'll just do that.

I replaced it on a hardwood table, so there wasn't any chance of static electricity.

Hmm, maybe it was just a bad piece of hardware, especially if you were careful and followed a guide online on how to install it properly.
