Root I'm stuck

Hellow so i was bored and i saw a youtube vid about custom roms and i searched around rom manager didn't work on my samsung i550 so i downloaded uniflash and a custom room off the forum and I'm kind stuck i loaded the custom room and is stuck at stage 2/3 and below is saying cleaning data and cache and on the phone is the system recovery menu that shows reboot apply sdcard update.zip wipe data factory reset and wipe cache partition bad ideea for a noob with no experience to try to do something like this but i can't get out of this i dont have a backup what can i do. If i try to wipe data factory reset is stard and it shows the samsung logo and just vibrates and the does nothing. welp ps": the phone is rooted and sry for my english. Hope this is the right place to post

to the OP - I searched XDA for your phone but didn't find it. I don't know what video you found but you may have to take it back and try to get someone at the carrier to help you fix it if it is infact fixable.

Some other info you should know.
1. Never download anything that isnt for your specific device.
2. Never root a device unless you know what you are doing
3. Never use a ROM or a Kernel meant for another devices as this can seriously brick your device.
4. READ READ READ
 
Yes i mean the galaxy i550 and the roam is called MAD ROM 2.5 of the madteam forum from the i550 specific section. And i was thinking mb I should try other softwere mb its the uniflash program ? :D any suggestions.

Ah, from the link, I see it's the Samsung Galaxy 5 (GT-I5500)/Samsung Galaxy Europa.

Moved to that root area, hopefully the guys here will be able to assist. :)
 
so i tried using odin3 i have all the divers needed and stuff the phone is in download mode but I still don;t get the yellow port thing that i need to start any onther flashing sofwere that i can use from the pc ? so far i tryed odin3 and uniflash
edit : installed odin3 1.85 and it works but now i cant figure out that files to install it says the .tar and .md5 files but there are a bunch of folders here and from that I read to far if i get it wrong its game over ?
