In call volume

Starting about 2 weeks or so ago, my in call volume when starting a call is always set to half. It is becoming annoying, very time I get a call I can't hear the first few words and have to fumble around to find the volume rocker.

My volume is set to max under settings.

I've changed 'sounds' settings in the past, but forgotten to click the little 'OK' at the bottom. Then wondered why the old settings were there again next time I looked.

I feel sure that's not your problem, though.

Something I've noticed is the Nexus 5 seems to be quiet to begin with.
