Root Installation of speedmod help

Ok so I attempted to install speedmod via cwm 6.0.1.5 on my captivate. This is the log I get after installing it:

Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the ClockworkMod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.
Please switch to Edify scripting to create working update zip packages.
Installation aborted

Can anyone help me?

I'm not familiar with speedmod, but I would guess that it was designed specifically for an earlier version of Android than you are running. What exactly is it supposed to do? You may not need it any more.

From what i've read, it's just an overclock kernel making the captivate run at 1.2 ghz rather than 1 ghz.
