Intel talks about how USB Type-C is far better than the 3.5mm headphone jack

With some new smartphones replacing the 3.5mm headphone jack with the USB Type-C port, some people have been very upset about the change.

Intel says this change is actually good for the consumer (once people get over the initial barrier) because the analog signal can disrupt other electronics (think cell signal), the quality improves, and a few other benefits.

Found the pirate! /s
Yeh, finds the pirate(s), but USB-C with DRM probably also restricts legitimate users from listening to music with their favourite analog headphones or speakers.

Which could make a market for third-party outboard devices that have a traditional headphone jack. Hanging a dongle on your phone for when you wish to use the trusty Sennheisers.
