Interesting observation with batterys

We have 3 from Sprint.com on launch night.

Mine is the newer battery without gold on it and I'm unsure about the others because I don't have them right now.

So,
Sprint.com - Launch
New Battery
Part no: 35H00123-22m

Id like a bit more than one days charge though. 24 hours is the max I've ever gotten, and that was with about 6 hours of use on it, then again witih things updating so often I guess that's what I get. I'm coming from a voyager with almost a weeks worth of charge texting and calling 3 hours a day+ Guess 1 day is normal for my settings haha

With these types of smartphones you really can't expect to get much more than a days worth of use before charging. I was able to go 28 hours on a charge and it just dipped below 30%. With tweaks and less use you could stretch it out a little more, maybe 2 at most. Until battery technology can evolve you'll be disappointed if you expect much more.

Two new batteries - Sam's Club (Radio Shack)
One old battery - Sprint Corporate Store

I did the green light recharge trick on all 3 phones, as well as shutting down the talk feature. Two are now working well (1 new battery, 1 old battery) but the other new battery phone still has poor life.

btw, my phone is over 21 hours with normal (for me) use ("new" battery):

Strange how my Voltage is 3738, when a lot of people are at 3901  .

Thing is you only have 18% on android system which basically says you din't use the system much, I would like to see android system above 50% and see what kinda battery life you get.

True, but this is my normal use and I am perfectly fine with it. The question is, my wife uses her phone ("new" battery) about as much as mine and is getting really poor battery life. Goes to the OP's original post.

btw, I'm now coming up on 24 hours and am still at 17% remaining (20% Android use).

Lastly, this is no complaint about the phone. It is absolutely amazing and battery life being what it is, I am more than happy to work around any issues with a car charger and an extra usb cable.

Here are some charts of the "old battery" with light use. Been nearly 20 hours since I last charged it. The 11m 50 s since unplugged was due to me removing the battery to check what type I have.

I consistently have Android System really high. I'm actually kinda curious on how to get it down. Any suggestions?

I have no ATK
I've turned off Google Talk
No funky apps -- just basic Mail/Activesync
Done the GSM/CDMA (prl) trick to move to CDMA (prl)
I keep all my radios off, unless I'm using them

Thanks!

That's wack... I just checked my battery against the pictures, and it's the old one! I got my phone about a week ago as well! Weak sauce. I want the newer battery, though I can't say the battery life I'm getting now is any different from my Hero's. It's about the same.

Besides the different batteries, some of us already have the CDMA auto setting on our phone while others do not so there could two versions of the phone or it could be from updates. A buddy's EVO screen does not position horizontally on the search feature while mine does but both work for texts and internet, etc, and it is set up properly. We couldn't figure it out, I told him to keep updating since that is what I have been doing, but who knows?

yeah this is really strange. mine won't switch to landscape with the search feature either. this is software related so i'm not worried. i'm sure HTC is working on updates for our phone.
