I have an IPTV box which runs on Android 4.2 and a Samsung Galaxy Ace which runs on Android 4.1.
The IPTV box connects to the wifi hotspot of the phone, the signal is excellent but no Internet is coming through.
I went with the IPTV box to an ADSL regular wireless router and everthing is fine. The TV box receives Internet data.
So the issue is on the smartphone or the mobile carrier side.
My mobile carrier is Mobilicity, which I think is equivalent of T-Mobile from US.
Is any external wireless router which can be connected to the smartphone via USB and use it?
I am also open to other solutions.
NOTE:
Since I have unlimited Internet I am heavily using the Samsung phone as a portable hotspot. All my computers which run on windows 7 or XP as well as an Android 4.2 tablet connect to the phone they do not have the problem presented above.
