Don't sell your soul!
To be honest, it was my wife's iPhone which led me to getting an android.

I am 6 months into a 24 month plan, and the phone was a Samsung GT-B3410. It was ok, I mainly used it for gmail and facebook. Flipping between the two was a pain though, as it seemed to start from scratch each time. Google maps java thing just didn't work, and neither did youtube (despite ads claiming it could.)
Then my wife got an iPhone and I played with it. It was 100 times better so I now hated my phone and set out to get a decent one.
I didn't want to be a sheep though, so I decided to get an android instead

Now, when I see my wife's iPhone, it looks huge and clumsy compared to my hTC Magic.

When I was in New York, I saw an ad for a MOTO Droid on a billboard. The next ad was for an iPad.

my favorites are the Victoria's Secret ads lol. I also noticed a blackberry (or maybe palm?) or some other phone ad one day and chuckled quietly to myself (CQTMS?)
