Is the Headphone jack wearing out on the Moto G a common problem?

I just got a new Moto G LTE and I love it. Only problem is, i've read around some on google ad stuff and noticed people saying their headphone jack stops working after a few months. Is this inevitable? Has it happened to anyone here? Does anyone not have this problem? I need some peace of mind.

I don't have a Moto G but I've had lots of devices with headphone jacks. The only time I ever had problems with a headphone jack is when I did something to it. Like there was thid one time with an HP Jornada that I had the headphones plugged in and as I was boarding the bus the cable got caught on the bannister (for lack of a better word). This sharp tug caused one of the connector wires to dislocate. I sent it in for repairs to a place called PocketPCTechs and they reported they had never seen anything like it. So be careful what your cord gets caught on and you should be all right.
