Just a thought...the Droid has been labeled in many places as a man's phone (not that women aren't welcome to it ). The ad campaign has been masculine, the look of the device is manly, hell....the name even references Star Wars.
On the other hand, the mysterious Passion has a feminine name. It will supposedly have the "prettier" Sense UI interface.
These devices both are at the top of the rung for Android phones. If they were at different carriers they would be competing for the same buyers. Maybe Verizon is attempting to get a majority of both male and female users by targeting them individually but on the same level.
Oh well, just speculation. Only time will tell.
