Is there any way to get rid of sending

On my LG optimus 2x (Android 2.3.4 version) when someone is calling me, I have 3 buttons (on the display) answer / not answer and excuse message. Every time when I take phone out of the pocket, accidentally I pressed that button (became extremely annoying because the phone is not ringing anymore
