Issues on the nexus 6P

I've had 2 small issues and I was wondering if any of ya have had the same issue.
#1 sometimes my screen would turn into landscape mode and it wont flip to portrait mode unless i open and close certain apps a few times.
#2 when on a 3 way phonecall I'm not able to send and auto text if I have another incoming call. Like the option is not there.

If any of ya had the same problems please let me know.. Is probably an OS issue which Google my fix with an update.

Had number one happen a couple times haven't had to many 3 way calls and texts at the same time. I have had just recently though the sound not playing when I receive a text and the phone screen is off with handcent.

I'm having this at the moment with Handcent/Next SMS. I either get a tiny vibrate and the beginning of my text alert which should go "I've got a text". If I'm lucky, I hear the "I..." and that's it. If the phone is unlocked and I'm in a text convo, I will get the full alert but if it's locked/asleep I get nothing. This started happening before the Marshmallow update as far as I can tell, so can't be attributed to that. I've used Handcent for at least 5 years now and it has its ups and downs but generally is OK and I've always preferred it to other message apps. I just find it frustrating to often miss texts because it doesn't sound/vibrate for long enough for me to register, unless it's on a surface where the vibrate is more obvious. Certainly if it's in a bag/pocket, I don't feel/hear anything. I uninstalled/reinstalled but that didn't make any difference. I keep checking the app settings and if I test the notification it works fine. WhatsApp and Messenger are fine.
