jellybean update

Yes Sony have confirmed it but at the moment it looks like it's not coming until march next year :rolleyes:
 
Yep fraid so, at the moment it looks like Sony are updating the new 2012 models, t, tx, ect first around february time :(
 
Sony are so slow with updates its pretty bad i think :confused:
HTC and sumsung are so much quicker to bring updates- hard to beleive they even bothered with ICS on the xperia T and newer models.....
 
Like everything else I've tried, by 11pm I'm usually at around 50% left, but varies a lot depending on usage.

Feel much smoother too, for example, recent apps menu opens up very quickly, camera too. (Which is a big deal for me)
Random reboots on rare occasion though.
 
Nice, good to hear that your enjoying this one, it's a shame though that sony can't pull their finger out and bring us jelly bean sooner though.
 
Lets face it Sony have sacked and laid off most of their staff including the software engineers from Europe and have moved nearly everything back to Japan, this now has to be set back up again and all this in a country that suffered a devastating earthquake :(

I really think that Sony will be playing catch up for quite some time now, and their really not going to want to be wasting money on older handsets that remind them of their time with Ericsson ie the nxt series, unfortunately I think that Sony are only going to be pumping money into the development of their newest phones, I hope I'm wrong though.

If Sony manages to fix the freezing/reboot bugs, the update might be worth it, even if it's a little late...at least in my case cuz I loose the waranty if I install a custom ROM.
 
I've seen a few posts on xda and other forums saying that the xperia u is getting jelly bean sometime this month, now if that's true then I think that Sony have truly lost the plot by releasing it to the u before the s.

Apparently Sony are going to announce this month when they are going to start the jelly bean update for the xs :/ An announcement for an announcement, oh dear.

Why would they announce for the Xperia U, when XS was the flagship of the Xperia S when they were launched?
I think they sold more Xperia U models that than XS, cuz other than that it doesn't make sense.
 
No your right it doesn't make sense but tbh I think that Sony wants to drop the xs as quickly as possible unfortunately.

I'm sure by now everybody has seen the update/announcement but just so its in this thread its not coming till March, after pretty much very other handset sony is updating has been done.....
