Just thought I would share...

Roadblock

Just thought I would share that I got a HTC EVO 4G hardware revision 002 on launch day and I'm still having ZERO issues.

Simply bad ass phone. I've dropped it a few times, no broken screens or anything as of yet.

I have a $5.00 dollar silicone rubber sleeve/case thingy I ordered from Hong Kong and a Zagg screen protector on my phone. That's it.

Guess not all of these things are bad! :D

Same here except Im still on a Google I/O phone, so its even older

I have been fortunate enough to get 2 amazingly built Evo's. The first one was a launch day version 2 with a Novatek screen, and it would have stayed with me forever if not for that poison update that put it to sleep forever:(, and then the replacement Evo which is version 3, also an amazing Novatek screen, and very soundly built. I feel so lucky when I see some of the other's problems here.

Same here. Clean as the day I got it on launch day. (Except that tiny almost imperceptible nick that the original Siedio Innocase gave it.)

Launch day - HW ver 2 here as well.

No screen separation/ light leakage or OTA update issues.
Completely naked to boot as well. No screen protector, no case. Been dropped once but not from a high height. No dings, scratches, slow downs.

I love this thing more and more each day.

Although I don't have a launch day phone, I thought I would share anyway:

I picked up a White EVO (HW003) from Best Buy last saturday and I have had absolutely NO issues with the hardware. HTC must have remedied the problems in the newer HW versions...

Not quite. I, too, have a white evo. First one I got had a really loose battery cover. Second one is also loose, but not as bad as the first one. Slight light leakage when I'm in a really dark room.

Two EVO's in the house. My GF got hers on launch day (hw 2), I got mine 2 weeks later (hw 3). No problems on either, both are flawless. :)

yep, bestbuy'ed original here 10:37 june 4th. no pre order just walked right in and i was #1 of 3 left for public.

version 2 nova screen sprint silicon case. stock, unrooted, zero issues. awesome device indeed... we are the elite here guys and gals... pioneers if you will.. :D

I have to be honest I did not know what to do with this thread.... I mean the audacity of all of you to come in here and NOT complain about your EVO's. I was beginning to think we should change the name of the EVO forums to Complainers R' Us. But seriously I have a 003/Epson that I ordered Night before Launch Day and it has been brilliant since day one. No Light Leakage that I can see, no dust, no screen lifting. Anyone else find it weird that we all have great devices but certain people seem to be getting "Bad" EVO after "Bad" EVO?

Version 2, don't have any of the issues that people have complained about, however, just recently, the usb connection became loose and its a real pain to charge. I've seen this happen to all types of phones, so I don't hold it against HTC or EVO's build structure. Just wish Radio Shack would call me to pick up my replacement, they said Monday!

Google I/O Phone; using every day for two months with zero hardware problems. I even get 24 hours of usage between charges. Yippee!
