keep gps on

is there away to keep the GPS on constantly so that google latitude can stay up to date accurately?

I've always wondered this. Its a bit rubbish that you have to open it for it to update your position.

Mine updates using WiFi and mobile signal. Gps massively uses battery so probably not something you'd want on all the time.

Do you not just go to MENU - SETTINGS - LOCATION and then tick the GPS box.

Yes lol, turning ir on means it's on all the time. The icon wont new there constantly tho, because the app will ping using the gps. Every so often, not constantly.

thanks for the replies, i have left the GPS turned on but when the screen of the phone is turned off the gps does not come on, google latitude only uses the mobile signal at this point, i have had a look for an app to keep gps on but could not find one, does anybody know of one?

Init ... its a bit pants that really.

GPS on my old Blackberry Bold didnt seem to much of a problem on the device.
