Help LG G2 Keeps Rebooting

MS27

Lurker
I have an LG G2 with Verizon on Android 5.02 (installed in April). I've had it for over a year.

A few weeks ago I noticed that it would randomly reboot, typically when I was not using it. It was just sitting on the desk next to me. Now I see that it reboots several times per day and likely many more that I don't see. It has also rebooted a few times while I was on a call.

The OS was upgraded in the spring. no recent changes other than installing some new apps. (I deleted the 2 most recent ones, but can't say exactly when the problem started or when those were installed.) No recent drops or liquid spills either.

I use this for business and I will need to get a new phone if this persists. Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks!

I know your not going to want to hear this,But do a factory reset.
That should fix it and be sure to do a backup before hand.

Yes I agree. You have to do a factory reset. Watch how to do this on YouTube. It is easy to do.

I've had the same problem but I'm with telus and don't have android 5.02, and I reset my phone but the problem is still there. Any help?

I had a problem with mine shutting down frequently and recently, rebooting itself. Not sure if this will help you, but I did the following and don't have and more problems: Turn off the phone; Remove the battery and SIM cards; Replace the battery and restart the phone; Turn off the phone again; Remove the battery; Put the primary SIM card back in; Put the battery back in and restart the phone. You should get a message saying that *** SIM was detected and a prompt for you to accept or change the automatic configuration. Accept it and see if this solves the problem. In my case, I have dual SIMs. When I put my second SIM in, the problems started again immediately. I am running just one SIM now and it's flawless (so far). I am guessing it's a location issue.
