Location widget on homescreen?

I've got HD widgets and running nova. I've got the "quick settings" on the top of my homescreen, with "GPS" there, but it takes me to the location app instead of just turning on GPS. This means one extra step that I'd rather not take.

Anyone know how I can add the location on/off switch to my homescreen to just turn it on rather than take me to the location prefs?

(yes, I know it's in my notification dropdown screen, but that's still an extra step)

Are you toggling GPS to save battery, or to avoid big brother?

I'd say that neither reason is valid.

Big brother can probably turn on your GPS without you knowing it, and I don't see much difference in battery life if you have GPS enabled full time.

I haven't turned off my GPS in almost 2 years.

I toggle for battery. I guess I haven't tested on this phone, but on my old phone, leaving it on would seriously eat through battery life.
