Looking for a reminder app

I have tried a couple but non of them have done just what I am looking for. What I want is an app where I can enter something for a certain day and I get a notification that day so I can just touch the notification after it is completed. Kind of like a task list but in the notification bar and I can set tasks that need to be done on a certain day.

Yes then it will show up on my agenda and I could set a time for a reminder. I am looking for more of a checklist in my notification bar that appears on a certain day.
