Help Magnetic case and disabling sleep function.

Newbie
I have recently bought a case from eBay for my Nexus 7 first gen tablet. While it is a nice case, folding the cover back can cause the screen to turn off and go into sleep mode if not held in a certain way. If I shift the back cover of the case slightly in the wrong direction the screen will turn off. Is there a way to disable the magnetic lock feature by a setting or an app?

I'm not sure dude. I've never seen a setting for it.
Would you be able to take out the magnet without ruining the case?

Probably not. It's imbedded under the first leather layer. You mean to tell me that nobody has developed an app for control of that sensor? How hard is it to write apps or code for Android? If I could find some material on Android programming then I might be able to come up with something. I kind of taught myself BASIC back in the day through magazines and my own dabbling but that is an out of date language now.

Lol yeah I remember basic but Android is java and Linux I think.
Maybe an app does exist somewhere. I'm just not sure what keywords I'd use to search for it
