Hi All,

So trying to simply flash 1 rom onto my phone. Being only moderately computer minded and over the age of 21 most written guides using the variety of abbreviations that accompany this type of thing leaves me having to google every other word.

I've rooted m N9005 UK Note 3 fine without a hitch. I've downloaded root checker and it confirms my note 3 is now rooted. Great I think this is going well.

All I want to do is install the Aryamod and the Lean Kernel 6.3 for faster and smoother running. Nothing complicated you say, well it is for the feeble of mind I can assure you!

So first step in the guide from XDA is install TWRP. Not that it explains how to do this, so after googling it I find a handy youtube guiding explaining it.

"Great!" I think. Alas no.

I follow the first step and download twrp manager, then it wants to know what version of the note 3 I have. Unfortunately the app thinks EVERYONE lives in North America so I'm presented with several options for which note 3 I have. The options are as follows: Canadian, International Exynos (tried this it doesn't work), International Qualcomm, Neo, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Verizon. As I live in the UK all of these networks are meaningless to me.

As I can't be the only Brit to have ever attempted to install twrp, which version is mine? It's an unlocked note 3 originally with Vodafone ?

Please help! I'm stumbling at the first hurdle here!

You have an SM-N9005 international Qualcomm Note 3. Here's the correct version, flash the .tar version using Odin. (second link down)

Cheers dude. Got another issue....

Hi All,

Trying to get an app to run that doesn't like my rooted phone. So Xposed and RootCloak I thought would be the way to go.

Downloaded Xposed but on the main page under the "Framework" heading it reads in red: "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?"

Yes, I have installed the framework and rebooted!

So I thought I'd ignore that and clicked on modules. Rootcloak is showing there and I've ticked it, but above this now highlighted in a large red square with black letters. "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?"

Well yes I have.

So I click on Framework to be greeted by a great load of error messages which read as follows:
"Xposed is not (yet) compatible with Android SDK version 21 or your processor architecture (Armeabiv7a)

CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE: could not load library libdvm.so needed by /data/data/de.robv.android.exposed.installer/cache/app_process. caused by library libdvm.so not found"

So I try going into "Download" on the app, selecting the first option under the heading "Framework" it lists "Xposed Installer". I can right to "Versions" to see if I can download an older version that perhaps is more stable? I click on 2.6 and it downloads fine. I then click "install"

It asks me whether I want to install and gives me the bizarre opition of new | all. I've tried both and I hit install, then it takes me to a screen that simply says: "App not installed".

What am I doing wrong guys and can anyone recommend a fix?

Would your firmware and the rom that you are running L.P. 5.0 or above? If so you need to get Xposed 3.0 alpha and the correct files to get it running. Let me know and I can upload for you. When the install process is complete it will look like the photo above but it is infact working.
