Help Maxx HD rediculously slow after radiocomm mod for GSM service

It takes about 10 seconds for google maps to appear. seems like it used to be way quicker. that's the only decent gauge of its quickness I can think of. It also freezes much easier. Tried a factory reset but it fails.

Is it possible the phone could be abnormally slow, for one reason or another, after a radiocomm update? thanks in advance for any help

Did you Wipe Cache Partition where temporary files are stored? It can become corrupted and really slow everything down (especially app start ups).

(I do it on my Droid Turbo every Saturday.)

I did and that with another thing too, worked. I wiped the "dalvik" cache as well. After doing both, maps comes up in about 7 seconds. so a lot better.

Thom, I just noticed something. Per the "app info" screen "totals" for google maps, My:
Maxx HD is using 52.3 MB (App-25mb, cache 23mb, data 4mb)
Droid Maxx: 11.5 MB (App 4mb, cache 3mb, data 2mb)

The consumption for the Maxx is 4.5x's that of the Maxx.

I wonder if that is significant in any way?

**Update. (sorry for the continuous posts but they might help someone else)

I "uninstalled updates" to maps. Took usage from 52MB down to 8MB. It is blazing fast now, and the rest of my phone has picked up some speed.
