Which recovery are you running? I think 4ext has an option to ignore MD5 mismatches.
Did you happen to change the folder name of your nandroid backup?
I find that simply changing the name will cause an md5 sum mismatch. If you did change it, you will need to change it back to exactly what it was originally.
Alternately, you can try using a different recovery. I cannot guarantee that a different recovery would work, but it might be worth a try.
